Core Health Technologies developed the 2012 HL7 Interface Compensation Survey to establish a baseline analysis of compensation variables for IT professionals who work within the healthcare integration discipline. This report presents results of the survey graphically in summary form.
This survey was conducted during a ten day period in February 2012 and was open to all participants through our website. We tried to maximize participation through email invitations and through various social media outlets.
The final results include responses from over 650 participants employed by organizations that vary in type, location, and size but who all work within the healthcare integration field.
The 2012 HL7 Interface Compensation Survey includes…
- Average years of experience vs. tenure in current role/retention
- Most commonly used interface engines
- On-site vs. remote work scenarios and requirements
- Trends in employment status (W2 vs. 1099 status)
For example, did you know that 69% of positions within the field include options to work remotely and that 22% of those positions are actually 100% remote? Or that 21% of HL7 architects make $80-$89/hour?
